Browsing the website

1. Alojamiento. El sitio se aloja en Cloudflare Pages. Como cualquier servidor web, Cloudflare recibe datos técnicos de cada visita, como la dirección IP y el navegador, para entregar las páginas y proteger el sitio contra ataques.
2. Preferencias del navegador. El sitio guarda en el propio navegador del visitante, y nunca en nuestros servidores, el idioma elegido, la vista y el orden preferidos del catálogo y la lista de obras vistas recientemente. Pueden borrarse en cualquier momento desde la configuración del navegador.
3. Buscador. El buscador del sitio funciona dentro del navegador: los términos que se escriben no se envían ni se registran.
4. Tipografías. Las tipografías se sirven desde el propio sitio, sin recurrir a servicios externos.

1. Hosting. The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web server, Cloudflare receives technical data from each visit, such as the IP address and browser, in order to deliver pages and protect the site against attacks.
2. Browser preferences. The website stores in the visitor's own browser, and never on our servers, the chosen language, the preferred catalogue view and order, and the list of recently viewed works. They can be deleted at any time from the browser settings.
3. Search. The site search runs within the browser: search terms are neither sent nor recorded.
4. Fonts. Fonts are served from the website itself, without relying on external services.

Correo, colaboraciones y donaciones

Email, contributions and donations

1. Correo. Los mensajes dirigidos a la fundación se usan solo para responderlos y para la gestión que motivan, como una autorización de derechos o una solicitud de retirada. No se comparten con terceros.
2. Colombeia. Los datos de los autores y de los evaluadores se usan solo para el proceso editorial. La identidad de los evaluadores es confidencial.
3. Suscripciones. La suscripción a El Caribe Ilustrado la gestiona Substack, según su propia política de privacidad.
4. Donaciones. Las donaciones se procesan a través de Buy Me a Coffee o de Zelle. La fundación solo recibe los datos que esos servicios le facilitan, como el nombre y el correo del donante, y los usa para agradecer y registrar la donación.

1. Email. Messages sent to the foundation are used only to reply to them and for the matter they concern, such as a rights authorization or a removal request. They are not shared with third parties.
2. Colombeia. Data on authors and reviewers are used only for the editorial process. Reviewers' identities are confidential.
3. Subscriptions. Subscriptions to El Caribe Ilustrado are managed by Substack, under its own privacy policy.
4. Donations. Donations are processed through Buy Me a Coffee or Zelle. The foundation only receives the data those services provide, such as the donor's name and email, and uses them to thank the donor and record the donation.

Cualquier persona puede pedir que se le informe de los datos suyos que conserva la fundación, que se corrijan o que se eliminen, escribiendo a [email protected]. Responderemos por escrito.

Anyone may ask to be informed of the personal data the foundation holds about them, or to have them corrected or deleted, by writing to [email protected]. We will reply in writing.
